Is it normal to get hate in the gym forlifting heavy and working harder

No dropping weights, no grunting, Nothing that would make anybody annoyed, I’m actually very quiet, headphones in and locked in. I just get the vibe that people around me Avert their eyes and sort of give me dirty looks Sometimes. I lift very heavy because I’m extremely strong, it makes me feel bad sometimes even though I don’t really care about what people think...is this normal? I don’t bother or hurt anyone, I’m just in my zone and working hard to be the best I can be...does me working considerably harder make them feel bad about themselves...I’m black(foreigkner) if that makes any difference

Is this
Normal?

There are a few different gym types. Some probably hate you out of jealousy, some if you don't clean the area, some think you're lifting wrong or cheating, some think you're weaker than them, some think getting pointlessly buff is retarded and that you should really only be that buff if you're an athlete or actually need to do it, some might just not like the way you look whether it be race or your demeanor. Gym generally isn't a fun group outing, it's each person alone. A lot of people work out because they have to to keep from getting fat, therefore are just mad or upset in general...there are only so many hours in a day.

If you've already got the confidence to lift in public, none of this should bother you. If you continue to worry about it, you may just end up dropping the weights on accident or something and hurting yourself

Could you elaborate? And yes I get a lot of attention because of my physique, not bragging, I started off very skinny and I look like a classic physique pro bodybuilder now. So at times all the attention can be too much for me but I’m curious please elaborate? Thanks for your input

If that's the case why would they give you dirty looks? And secondly how would you even notice? What makes you think you're getting hate?

And I agree with the other comment, some people may be jealous or dislike the way you look, but I honestly don't understand how you would even notice, when I go to the gym I just work out, not check who's watching me. If people have something important to say they can say it to my face.

If you truly didn't care, you would never have even considered asking this question.

It does bother me sometimes as much as I try to not care. I’m a generally nice person, always willing to help people, I give people tips on form if I see someone doing an exercise incorrectly, very polite. I don’t care about it because of the fact that I’m not harming anyone but I still feel bad because of the uneasiness...you know what I mean?
