Is it normal to get extra hair even though you shave?

Every time i shave 'down there" (im a female)..it gets extra and extra hairy, and hair grows in more place. For example...since i began shaving there...hair is now going on my inner thighs, on the lips, right over my vag and like around to by bottom...its thick hair also..HELP im scared to get a boyfriend...

Calm down. Breathe. Totally normal. And any guy that is immature enough to give u a hard time for how u keep ur front lawn, has no business being there in the first place. Just shave more often. Once a week or so should be enough. It is for me anyway. My girl gets all self conscious about her vag when she hasn't shaved, but it would only really bother me if it were REALLY bad. Hair is hair. No big deal.

Don't worry, when you hit menopause it will thin out. Mwahahaha!

Better yet, get a bikini wax or go au naturel.

The shaving has absolutely nothing to do with hair growth. What you are running into is growing into an adult. When you first started shaving, how old were you? Let's say, 16. Well at 16 your hair was not the same amount or thickness it will be when you are a fully matured woman. You see what I mean? It is a total urban myth that shaving stimulates the hair follicles or that it causes hair to grow faster and thicker.

    • oh really? so what would be the cause for this happening? like i tested it on an area down there, and the next time it grew out, it was thicker and more bushier? :/
      thanks :)

Think what you please or even better go online and check on what I said; it's fact. I believed that shaving stimulated hair growth for 30 years and religiously shaved 4 or 5 times a day when I wanted to change my beard shape, but it actually made zero difference.
