Is it normal to get dpasms?

I've noticed that my husband gets little twitches when he is falling asleep. He has done this for as long as I've known him, and I always tease him about it. Is it normal for your arms or legs to jerk, or twitch when you are falling asleep? Sometimes they even wake him up :D

It's normal. Almost everyone does that. It's like your body purposely wakes you up because it thinks it's "dying".

  • That happens to me too sometimes, and it usually wakes me up too.

^ Agreed, sometimes when falling asleep, the brain believes it is dying and sends a jolt to your body to wake you up.
