Is it normal to get bumps on labia majora?

recently, (about two months ago) i discovered 2 or 3 little skin colored bumps around my vagina (on my labia majora underneath pubic hair)thinking nothing of because I recently had an allergic reaction to the soap my grandma use to wash my clothes with I ignored it the itching and burning stopped but the bumps still remained and so I began to worry. also within the past two weeks I've gotten a sinus infection and have been taking antibiotic causing a yeast infection so the itching and burning arose again. the bumps still remained. also to add the bumps stay the same never crusted over never oozed never turned white same place same color same everything just a few more have arose. is this at all normal?

If it's where your pubic hair grows, it could be infected hair follicles or it could be a sebacious cyst or something equally as annoying but they are likely not very threatening to your health. If one or some of them become inflamed and grow, you should definitely see a dermatologist or gynecologist as they are likely cysts which can be drained. Random infections and cysts in glands in the female pubic region are not uncommon and I would definitely say it's normal. (If they bug you or get worse, like I said, you should see a doctor.)

  • I sometimes get bumps there too but they usually go away by themselves or I put some medical ointment on them.
