Is it normal: to get bored of a boyfriend?

I have had a lot of boyfriends that I've really liked, but after the 1 week/2 week point I get really bored of them. After breaking up with them I realise that it was a mistake, but I feel horrible going back to them telling them that I 'just got bored'. Is it normal to like the chase but not the capture?
