Is it normal to get an erection in public

Everytime a woman sits next to me one the bus I get a massive erection. I think everyone notices because they move away. I try to talk loud or sing to distract from the bulge but people still avoid me. How can I stop and why is it happening?

    Wear a hat that can use as a lap tent. Public boners are funny. You'll get them less often as you get older.

    Carry a book/file/bag with you and sit with it on your lap.
