Is it normal to get almost deathly nervouse around someone you like?

Well there have been some occasions were im with this guy i like and were talking(either with or without friends around) and we get comfortable and get a little closer(not to a kiss.. sadly lol TwT) just to hear each other or what have you.. then he gets so close that he mine as well kiss me.. and heres were the trouble starts(well.. i wouldn't call it trouble persay.. just like.. "problem" i guess you could say.. but anyway) then all of a sudden, my heart starts pounding, i get hot, i shake a little, and even though im happy that he's so close, i cant keep a smile. But worst of all sometimes my heart feels like its getting numb and pounds deeper.. its not serious, but it gets annoying and frankly, it kills the moment a little.. oh and also i sometimes do stupid things like hit him(playfully of corse :]) or get serious or forget things.. -.-
oh, and i dont know if this has anything to do with it but i've never had completely steady nervs.

    im going thorught the same thing.My heart feels like its gonna burn up nd gonna rip out of my chest! totally normal that means u really like this guy :D

    The guy I had a crush on made me feel something like that... Whenever I saw him, my heart would pound so much that I felt like it would explode out of my chest, my hands would get clammy, I would get a huge swarm of butterflies in my stomach. I would go gaga over this guy. I think it's normal :-)

    He's probably straight and for someone with an anxiety disorder, you're doing the best you can. My theory about anxiety is communication: if this continues, talk to him! If you feel comfortable, fess up: Tell him a bit of what you told us...that you want to kiss him and you get flustered a little. (don't go into the whole anxiety deal). As a guy, I would be honored if a girl was nervous about kissing. It shows she's interested
