Is it normal to get a tatto on your chest, if you are a girl?

I know it depends on the tattoo and the girl, but just in general. I mean the ones that don't go on the breast, but are just under the collar bone. I've seen this done horribly, and the girls who get them look slutty, but I haven't seen it a lot. I'd want to know if it's a bad idea to stray away from, but I feel like it could look just fine, too.

    I think It's awesome. I got my chest tattooed almost up to the collar bone, and about to add some more all the way to teh neck. I'm a guy, but I've dated girls with ink there and it looks beautiful.

    Don't mind people that bitch about it -they don't understand shit about anything. Just find a really good design that means something to you, and a good artist. Since it's a very visible place and about the first thing that people are going to notice you can't get away with something stupid there.

    I have a unicorn head under my collar bone about the size of a silver dollar . It's the only tat I have and it doesn't show unless I wear something with thin shoulder straps like a tank top or sundress and even than with a thick strap tank top only a part of it shows . Just be sure to think long and hard before getting one and don't assume it can be removed. Removal is not cheap or painless and can leave a scar or not remove it all. I've had my tat for over 20 yrs and still love it,it's faded very little since its seldom in sunlight and has almost no bleeding of the ink to blur it.

    A lot of girls have them now but I for one have not seen a single female ever pull it off... Me and a majority of my friends agree that they look tacky/trashy on women...

    Depends on the design and how well its done. Take the time to find an artist perfect for what you want and don't be a cheapskate. I hear chest pieces hurt like a bitch though, if it's your first tat I would recommend a different place

    I have a chest piece and I get mad compliments on it. For any tattoo you want to make sure you're going to a good artist, especially something as visible as a chest piece.

    Mine is a fibbonacci spiral I designed, with help from the artist to make it fit. :) I'm gonna plaster myself in my art.

    I would never do it. It limits what you wear, since it won't suit everything. Also, I just don't think they make a person look better than they would without it.

    My 20 year old cousin is covered in tattoos, and has a chest piece, which was done well. But it's just so in your face, and I can't imagine why anyone would want that stuck on them forever. It isn't discreet at all.
