Is it normal to gain lots of weight after a surgery...

And then have a hard time trying to lose it no matter how little you eat or how healthy you eat or how much exercise you do? I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few days go. I have had 2 major surgeries to fix my arm which is deteriorating. My first surgery took a year to recover but that was 10 years ago. My second took 4 months. And after the second surgery, I was in so much pain and suffering that if I moved my arm I would feel really bad. So I didn't get up much during those 4 months. It has officially been a year since my second surgery. I eat about the normal calories for my body. But for some reason, no matter the exercise I do or the food I eat, I just keep gaining weight. Is this normal?

It's possible that the Fibromyalgia may be responsible for your slowing metabolism as well as normal aging and any prescription medications you may be on.

Also, be aware, that chaloric intake isn't the only factor when it comes to whether what you eat is healthy for you.

it's normal, if you aren't careful about what you eat.

i knew a man who couldn't exercise for a while because he had broken vertebrae in his back from an accident.

because he didn't adjust his diet to match his lack of exercise he put on at least 20 pounds.
