Is it normal to friend zone guys?

I had a best friend, a guy, he was amazing.. I had so many feelings, I couldn't help just being his 'best friend' so I got closer. He asked me out. We dated for 4 months.. and after, it all fell apart. We were best friends, but I ruined it. He couldn't help seeing me as 'just a friend' anymore. After everything I just want my best friend back, a long amazing friendship, were we talked everyday, hung out, made jokes, I can't date anyone who I get close to anymore, best friend wise.. is this normal? I feel like one of those chicks that's just like 'I friendzone people' & I don't want too.. but I can't forget this.. I miss everything.

yes friend zones are normal. not good or bad - just an objective part of dating. you have every right to friend zone a guy and he should take it with respect.

It's possible to be friends again, imo.

I fell in love with my bestfriend, got broken hearted and all. After months of getting over it, we became friends again. As time past everything went back to normal. If you give someone the time they need to get over their heartache, they might miss your friendship enough to come around and since they are more or less healed from it all, you could re build the friendship.

I believe this only happens if the friendship means that much to both people and both aren't willing to leave the other person or their friendship.
