  • I do the same thing. I'm in the dark so I just think of past horror movies.

I just think in good stuff. Like how Brunette people will rule the world forgotten by the aliens that abducted slender man.

It's normal and could be related to anxiety. I have anxiety problems that interfere with sleep. My brain just doesn't shut off and I keep having rambling thoughts that jump from one topic to another. Then as it gets later it turns to paranoia due to anxiety and sleep deprivation. Normal sleep aids gave me sleep hangovers, which is counter productive.

I was able to formulate my own combination of natural aids to work for me, based on other natural sleep aides. I bought Valerian Root extract(A ground up root in a capsule that smells just like stinky feet. Calms and relaxes to promote sleep. It can be found in the vitamin/supplement section) and Melatonin (A hormone that helps regulate your sleep cycle and will promote sleep. It's in the same section) About $16 total for a couple months worth of pills.

I take ONE 3mg Melatonin and TWO 530mg Valerian Root. I go from, "Ohmygodwhat'sthatsoundI'mtotallygoingtodietonight!" Stay up until 5am-12pm To "I wonder what that sound was? probably nothing. I guess I'll find out the hard way if it's anything bad. We'll cross that bridge if we get to it." Sleeping whenever I want.

Just keep in mind if you try this, it's not going to put you out like a normal sleep aid, it will relax you and make you sleepy. Then you feel like you get to sleep on your own. So don't lay in bed wondering if it's working yet. Just go to bed like you didn't take it. Also you can play with the dosing carefully.

Hope this helps! Sorry for the long post! :)

When I get scared, I just sit back and close my eyes and think about zombies and stuff from the walking dead :) Wait, what?
