    Haha! That happens to me in the theater, too. I get to the movie and I'm like, "what did I come to see?"

    It's a side effect from the hypnosis used in commercials today.

    This sort of thing usually happens to me while I'm driving. "Where am I going again?" But if I don't think too hard my subconscious remembers and gets me there.

    I've had this a few times. It was when I really didn't give a shit what was on, since finnish television was full of mere reruns :S

    Sometimes when I go to the movie theater, during the trailers I'll forgot which movie I'm about to watch. but I've never done this when watching tv. Most of what I watch on tv is either on premium channels which don't have commercials, or is recorded on my dvr (so I can fast fwd thru the commercials.)
