Is it normal to forget movies that you've seen?

I know I've seen them, but cannot for the life of me remember what happens in them. So when someone asks, have you seen 'x movie'? I'm like....yeh.. but have nothing to add because I can't remember what happens!
Just me?

I try to forget them as quickly as I can. Living on a boat in the West Indies, new movies are rare and even though we have hundreds, if we don't forget them, they get pretty boring after the 5th time watching.

Maybe you don't pay enough attention to the movie to remember... or you have a bad re-collective memory.
