Is it normal to 'forget' how to breathe?

Just a couple days ago I was just hanging out being normal when suddenly I lost my breathe and i litterly forgot how to breathe! my heart was also beating faster than normal. Is this normal to experience? was it a panic attack or something?

I think this is not normal. No offense, though...

I've only forgot to breathe when sleeping. I used to wake up gasping for air because I fell asleep without breathing.

Wow, I forgot how to breath once, it was the middle of science and I just stopped breathing and fell of my chair, right off.... My teacher said it was because I'm stupid or something IDK I wasn't listening.

Lmfao! You have no idea how hard I just laughed at this. Maybe it's just because I'm high, I don't know, but this was freaking hilarious.

for most of us, breathing isn't something we ever have to think about, so i think maybe something is going on. maybe it is some sort of panic attack or whatever. if it keeps happening, mention it to your doctor.

This happens to me too! Its like I have to reteach myself how to breath, and it happens to my brother too. He actually had an assimilated heart attack. Just remember, breath in, then out. I think they could be related to panic attacks though. I have panic attacks sometimes, but i sometimes forget how to breath when I'm not having a panic attack. I breath the best in really hot muggy air. When the air is really thin or cold I feel like its not there sometimes. Idk
