Is it normal to forget almost everything?

I’ve suffered with anxiety since being a child but barely remember any of my life. It all seems a blur and it’s incredibly frustrating, almost makes me feel like I’m not actually real and am living in a film it’s that bad sometimes.

I've got an anxiety issue too and my bad memory drives my wife insane at times. I find it worse when insomnia kicks in. Find ways to relax, try meditation, try medicinal cannabis if you can but don't abuse it (works amazing for me) and start a journal. Give it time and if theres no progress, go see a psychologist but DONT take any meds they precribe, you dont need them!

I have the same thing where it feels like i'm living in a dream. From what i know it's called derealisation/depersonalisation and is a side effect of anxiety. Some of my memories feel made up. In a way it is normal but also not. You might wanna see a councillor or something if it's bothering you.
