Is it normal to floss outside the bathroom?

I do some of my flossing in the bathroom sometimes, but often do it on the sofa while watching TV. I shared this with my co-workers and they refuse to interact with me now, so it seems that this is not normal.

I've also been known to brush my teeth outside of the bathroom too, is that not normal?

    I floss at my desk all the time. But not when I have an audience. I don't really floss in the bathroom very often. Normal enough to me.
