Is it normal to flirt before you talk?

So I was going to class and I saw that beautiful girl parking her car, I said to myself maybe I won't see her again so I will go ahead and post a sticky note on her mirror. I posted, "I don't mean interrupting, but you look cute!," then I left. I'm done with class and here we go, I saw her getting into her car, I went close and I tried to open a little conversation, and it happened. I opened a little conversation and it turned to be a really exciting long conversation, we talked for an hour! we exchanged numbers and a plan to meet in the next day. I saw happiness in her eyes and excitement to meet again, I felt it's gonna be a date. Last but not least, she got into the car, saw the silly stick note and left. I called two days later, no answer. Do you think she got upset? and if so, how can I decently correct it. Please note, I am not pushy nor desperate.

    I doubt she'd talk to a stranger for an hour and be offended by a sticky note.

    There could be a million reasons for why she didn't return your call and the sticky note is pretty low on that list. In fact she probably forgot about it by the time she got home.

    Unfortunately, women will flirt with you and give out their numbers but it doesn't mean that things will go further than that. In time you will learn to accept that and it doesn't mean that you've done anything wrong.

    Maybe it was the grammar you used in the note "...I don't mean interrupting...??"

    Maybe she is phone-shy, or just hasn't gotten to your number.. Did you try texting..? A nice/cute boy gave me his number recently and it took me almost 2 weeks to get back to him, because I wanted to talk to him in person again before texting but he never came to class. Plus I was busy w schoolwork..
