Is it normal to find the term "bff" annoying?

It just annoys the shit out of me. It's a stupid term, and sounds completely insincere to me, anyway.

    It isn't normally true anyway. Most "best friends forever" go their seperate ways at some point. So it isn't forever!

    It reminds me of superficial valley girls from the 90's. I used to say this when I was around 7 or 9. Now I just say "friend" or "best friend", but that's kinda rare. I don't see why people say "bff". It almost sounds fake. Mind you, nothing lasts forever.

    Its incredibly lazy. Just say Your my best best friend, or BEST FRIEND. Why use textchat BFF. I myself cannot even text bff or most one letter words to anyone. ... though I do cheat some times with LOL.
