Is it normal to find quitting smoking easy?

I quit smoking 6 days ago. The first two days were kinda hard but not that bad, I did it with my little brother so I dunno if that helped, we just stayed busy all the time. Well, since then its been really pretty easy. I got some weed on the evening of the second day and smoked that (in a bong, no baccy)and by the time I'd finished the weed (day before yesterday) I felt completely fine about not smoking. I'm not ready to have my boyfriend smoke in front of me regularly but I'd say I'm over smoking. I even got super drunk yesterday and I didn't smoke. On the evening of the first day my brother said if someone offered him a cigarette hed have it, but I wouldn't have done, and on the second day he had to smoke! He is sixteen and smokes 8 cigarettes a day, but I'm 21 and used to smoke 15 rollies a day at least. I started smoking when I was 14 and I totally thought I'd never be able to quit, that smoking was completely a part of my identity. I NEVER thought I could quit, on the day I quit I gave my last baccy to my mum cuz I was sure I wouldn't make it through the day and I'd need it. My bf has tried to quit several times and he is so unbearable when he doesnt smoke we always break up when he tries! So, my question is..Is it normal to be so addicted yet find it so easy to quit? Is it because I haven't really had to deal with people smoking around me yet?

My grandmother smoked for 74 years and one day just said the words "I quit" and she never smoked again

I don't really know if it's "normal" (but I said yes), but I've quit smoking many times, and I never really have a lot of trouble with it.

I realize that sounds like a joke, since obviously I have re-started a few times, too, but when I say I quit, I mean for many years at a time. I've been smoke free again this time for over a year and a half, after starting again for only a few months, and had been smoke free before that for nearly a decade. And each quit has been easier than the time before. I always say, "the times before were just practice!"

I guess. Or you weren't addicted to behind with.
I started at fourteen, and just stopped a few years ago. One day I just didn't smoke, and stopped buying them. Haven't smoked since, no withdrawal or anything. It's like (easier than) if I stopped drinking apple juice.
