Is it normal to find more than 100% annoying

Sometimes I hear people say 110% amd find it irritating but it cracks me up when people come up with the most random %. Like 1000%. And 100,000% .. ...I have heard 150%, most recently I heard someone say 280%! Is it normal to think that's really weird?

    People can make more than 100%

    Like a 372% increase in profit

    100%=1.00. If you give 100% of what you've got then is 1.00*all you've got. If it's 1000% then is 1000%=10.00, so 10.00*all you've got.

    also of=multiply

    So:
    500%*3=5.00*3=15

    Or:
    150%*50=1.50*50=75

    Yes, I think it is very stupid and mathematically wrong. People cannot give more than 100%, if they did, that would BECOME 100%. It annoys me very much. There are times when it does make sense, but not very often.
