Is it normal to find indoor public pools gross?

I find public pools disgusting. Let's start with the water. The water IS NOT clean! You so t want to know how much skin cells and bacteria is in that water. Possibly even urine and fecal matter. Now let's move onto the floor, the edges around the pool. I feel like i am going to puke when i see someone hold onto the edge of the pool. When you are walking around, it feels so slimy, there is green stuff on the floor. Who knows what that stuff is. I always make sure to walk on my toes. Now for the changerooms. I don't want to go naked in front a bunch of strange people. Sometimes there are perverted creepy people in there. The floor is disgusting, also. The bathrooms, smell like piss. I just really, REALLY hate public pools. The indoor ones are the worst though.

    What's worse than the pool is the hot tub at the gym!

    I got warts all over my feet from one as a kid and they wouldn't go away for a several years so yes it is very gross

    There are worse things. I haven't been to one in years, since I was a kid, but I plan on going sometime soon. I suppose it can't be as bad as sea water.

        Lakes are filled with bacteria. Every single day, my neighbors go swimming in there. The municipal water checking guys have stopped checking it because the bacteria is THAT BAD! You can catch fish really good, although they dump sewage in there.
