Is it normal to find human remains...?
Okay, so I was parked near a cemetery yesterday waiting for my friends, because there is a nature trail near there that we always hike. Well, on the ground next to my car, I found bones in the dirt. They were all connected and it appeared to be part of a human foot. (What I believe to be the 2nd,3rd and 4th metatarsals)
At first I thought maybe an animal had dug up a grave and left it there. Then I remembered there are old graves from the early 1900's that may have washed out due to the rain. But I explored the cemetery and there were no graves disturbed or additional bones I could find. There even appears to be slight cartilage still present which is whats keeping the bones together. I live in a small, secluded community where murder and crime never happen so I'm kind of concerned about this. I don't know if bringing it to the cops will do anything, because I found it near a graveyard so they'd probably just laugh at me.
Basically, I took the bones home with me and am now trying to decide what to do with them. I'll try and include a picture of the bones on top of my foot for comparison and if it doesn't work, I'll try and post links to them. What do you guys think?
