Is it normal to find female models really repulsive?

You see models nearly every day, like in magazines, with the overly large breasts and skinny legs ect. I find that really unattractive, I prefer real girls. I prefer girls that are 'cute' compared to 'hot' if you get what I mean? Is this normal?

Absolutely. Who wants a woman you could use to pick your teeth

Some girls are naturally skinny and can't gain any weight for the life of them. You should be ashamed of this comment. I understand you were probably trying to make heavier girls feel better about themselves but you have to shame thin girls in the process. That's disgusting. "Who wants...?" - maybe someone who loves a person more for who they are than what they look like.

Understandable. Everyone has their own taste. I personally don't give two shits about looks, just personality. Looks can be changed more easily.

To be honest - models on magazines are just one small percentage of the vast number of models out there.

There's plenty of models of all different types - including body type, tattoo level, and fashion style - if you actually go looking beyond the magazine rack.

Why do people hate on models so much? It seems like people cheer on Adele for being "real" when she is actually just chubby. That also has nothing to do with her singing voice which is good.

How about not judging people by their looks whether they are thin or fat?

Actually a few people have been bullying Adele over her weight, but mainly people like her because most good singers HAVE to "look right" to make a career out of their talent; they have to be slim and glam and sexy and wear skimpy outfits in their music videos and dance routines... but Adele is different and still a wonderful singer. People like her BECAUSE she's not been judged on being "chubby" as you put it.

It all depends on what you want to sell yourself as. I'm not into pop music, but if someone wants to sell herself based on her looks more power to her. I of course prefer listening to music based on their talents, but it takes all types.

I feel the same way! The imperfections and other blemishes on a womans body can be really attractive in a weird way. It just shows their real beauty.

@pree321 girls with long hair don't "hide" behind it. I'm bi and I like my guys to be guys and girls to be girls. I don't like girls with short hair for the same reason why I don't like bodybuilder women. As far as "societal expectations" f*** society. I dont expect women to be meek and faint at the sight of a mouse, in fact I find that a huge turn off. I do expect them to REQUIRE me to pull out chairs and hold doors open. Women and children first, when a society forgets that civilization falls.

I would prefer someone like Dita Von Teese rather than these photoshopped sticks.

@VsgdaTemnta no I wasn't trying to make fat girls feel better, I don't like fat girls either. And I'm not ashamed of it. This is a subjective matter, I don't date girls with short hair, or who won't let me open doors for them, or who are fat or who are toothpick, or chick body builders. I have a difficult time putting on weight myself and have worked very hard to get to my 165 and plan on putting on anther 10-20 lbs. however just like loosing weight you can gain weight (that is not fat). Mag girls are not "natural" first many of them eating disorders, second the editors photoshop the images to make them "prettier" and skinnier.

As the saying goes opinions are like arse holes everyone has one, and they smell.

Wtf? Why do you have a problem with short-haired girls? Thats the most petty assumption I've ever heard. If you can appreciate real, curvy women then why can't you appreciate a woman who doesn't hide behind her hair? You say you prefer real girls, yet you're saying shit that a shallow asshole would say. You're obviously one of those doucebags who doesn't know how to appreciate real beauty outside of societal expectations for beauty.

Plus sized models are actually very beautiful and can wear clothes well instead of clothes looking like they're still hanging on a hanger on these "normal" models. I actually find myself liking and buying the clothes on these real women lolz they look more fashionable to me! And I'm a stick figure!

Don't hate the women for looking repulsive, blame social pressures, media, and Photoshop...

Well not ALL models have legs the width of a toothpick, lol. But I do get what you're saying and I agree. I like the cute look a lot better. It turns me on.

To me, being 'hot' would mean, the woman physically, has a great body all around the board. Great legs, plump ass, breasts are real and face is nice.

The problem with models is that they're used to sell things. Because of this, agencies want them to be as attractive to as many people as possible. So they become a kind of average or composite of what people roughly find attractive.

And individual you see in the street, who has all the things you find attractive, will be way more desirable than any model. And that's just looks. People who have "model" looks find it very difficult not to trade on these looks at the expense of a personality.

I'd never say models are all repulsive but there are good reasons why the "girl next door" is much more appealing.

I prefer kinda big girls with a pretty face. Actually, I guess I only don't like stick thin girls. everything other than stick thin is fine in my book. As long as the gut doesn't go past the tits. That's my rule. Oh, and I can slam a mug on that ass.

Hmm, this is only putting into factor the really conceited and stuck up models. There are models out there who're just there for work and have no control on what photoshops are done after they take the photo. Like her or not, Olivia Wilde is actually really down to Earth and also an actress. And besides, they're there usually to make people feel insecure and buy products they probably don't need.

I dunno about repulsive, but I don't find skinny model types attractive. I like a bigger girl with some curves, big butt and big boobs, etc.

I rarely find any hot looking models. Supermodels from the 80s and 90s were hotter.

Also if you check up aspiring model sites, 90% of them are fairly average looking girls who only look better because of lighting, clothes, photoshop, etc.

the truly beautiful girls exist but they're rare.

I agree, ever since Kate moss in 1996, models have went "Coke Whore chic" with being all skin and bones. Yuck! ,granted, I wouldn't be surprised if most of them actually did coke, but its still a terrible look.

If they think that what the way women should look, then they{the media} are completely fucked in the head.

Indeed, they look that way because most of the fashion designers happen to be gay men. Their ideal vision of a body is a 14 year old boy. This is why supermodels look the way they do and are never thin or flat enough.

they look sickly, malnourished and generally repulsive. I think eventually there will be a backlash and there will be a return to healthier, more curvacious bodies.

I'm still amazed at how many models are really very ordinary looking girls underneath the makeup. It's discouraging because modeling used to be about uncovering rare beauty-now it has no meaning. Nowadays, any idiot with a camera and a computer can call themselves a model.

Normal. I find most supermodels these days really attractive. They are skin and bone, no hips, no bum, no face cheek fat so they look gaunt and sick and the alot of the ones who get breast enlargements look ridiculous. Breasts are usually the right size for women's body structures so when you intentionally change them to larger sizes most look stupid

Completely normal. I prefer cute girls over hot ones too. I guess they just seem more sincere and docile than hot (and often) conceited ones. Just my 2 cents.
