Is it normal to find extremely religious people annoying??

I applaud you and wish all people who believe in god were like you! I am athiest and have raised my children the same. I truly believe that if religion works for you then that's awesome! Everyone should b entitled to believe how they choose. I cannot tolerated when some psycho religious whack job tells me that my belief is wrong or that I have sentenced my children to an eternity in hell!! If I leave u alone, then I feel I should b left alone.

Thank you for being the way you are, if there were more like you (or maybe less like the psycho ones) the world would b sooo much saner!

God i hate jehovah's witnesses they really piss me off. I am athiest and proud and when those bastards come to my house and ask if i would like a leaflet i say sure that will kindle my fire nicely. Maybe even come in handy if i run out of TOILET PAPER.

Yes, Overly Religious people usually give a bad name to most other followers of a religion. I my self am Christian[Not really considering Christian means Christ-like], and it angers me to see someone try to force someone else into religion or make his/her family miserable because they think most things are bad.

Yes exactly. I love god. I believe in god. Im a catholic. But im not gonna shout it off rooftops. Where i live theres this giant christain church full of hypocritical people. Three big ass buildings. My family calls it Six Flags Over Jesus. So trust me im right there with you.

Everytime someone dies in my family, my brother and mother go on this big religious thing. My brother called my sister and told her that she and my neice are going to hell. My brother is a major racist and raised his kids to be so racist they couldn't finish school. Talk about a hypocrite . Since my great uncle died, my mother has been eaten up with it too. I am s strong Christian, but I live it not talk about it.they are both very judgmental.

Religion can be a curse, but so can atheism. There are hypocrits and idiots on both sides. I can't stand religous people who try to force their beliefs upon others, or use them to justify their wicked politics. But I also can't stand atheists that discriminate all religious people because they've had some bad experiences.

This is so true. Overly religious people really piss me off. Like when their at the train station preaching about God and Jesus and whatever. I'm just like "Shut the hell up". It's fine if you believe in God, I don't care, just don't try to force you religion on other people.

I'm a Lutheran Christian and I am proud of and faithful to my religion. But I don't preach to others about it, because that's rude and it's immature.
One thing that super-religious people do that I hate is get freaked out about stuff like witches. I remember when I was a kid and this one super-religious lady criticised my mum for letting me watch Sabrina: The Animated Series because it had 'witchcraft'. Oh, and how some Christians think observing Halloween is 'evil'.

In Chicago I saw a man preaching to no one on the street, and I thought about how badly he wanted to be a preacher and have his own church, etc., but instead here he was on the street in the middle of the freaking night talking to himself, with nobody even looking at him. Sure, zealously religious people can be annoying but it isn't exactly tops on the list...

I could go on about the evils of all religions for days but this is really not about that. This is about annoying people that just happen to use faith as their means of annoyance. Too much of a good thing is a bad thing and this is especially true of religion. Some people of faith choose to ignore of all secular aspects of life and art which limits their perspective and makes them really annoying because all they quote is the bible.
