Is it normal to find exessive swearing annoying?
In a locker room this guy is swearing in every nook and cranny of conversation everyone else except me starts doing it
what is so 'fun' about swearing?

Sometimes, when you need to express certain emotions and just vent, words such as "shoot," "sugar," "poopy" and so on just don't cut it. Sometimes, you need to let rip and scream "FLAMING FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!" It's like the release you get from crying.
They probably don't even realize they're doing it. It becomes a habit. But a pretty damn annoying one.
I try to refrain from swearing nowdays, but if I'm with company who do so, then I'll cuss along.
Jokes and stand-up comedy with lots of swearing in it can be funny, I'll confess to that.
Well first of all you're in a locker room.
Guys already tend to "show off" in front of other guys as it is... but now you're in a locker room where they tend to be more competitive.
It's not surprising that one guy sets a standard (if you can call it a standard) and all the others try to show off to show how cool they are.
I think it's very annoying. Swearing doesn't irritate me at all, if you use it right. But with some people it just seems like those words should not be coming out of their mouth and they are just doing it to seem badass or something. I cuss, but only in context, which is how everyone should do it. When you just go around dropping "fuck" into every sentence when it really doesn't need it, you sound retarded, ignorant, and/or uneducated. Plus, when you swear all the time you become desensitized to it so it never feels quite as good to curse your fucking heart out when you need to.
