I hate when people pass gas around me or burp? I understand you can't always help it, but it really grosses me out. Especially people who do it intentionally to be funny. I just don't like it. I find it disgusting.
is it normal to be disgusted by people burping and passing gas around you?
It's a natural bodily process.
Show me a person who doesn't have gas and never belches... and I'll show you a wax statue.
Then again some people are overly sensitive.
hell I once had someone try pulling the "OMG disgusting!!!!" card on me for that once... while I was in a public restroom using the toilet. Apparently I was suppose to hold my gas while taking a dump...

To the story creator: Way normal. Sometimes it's just really uncomfortable.
As I suggested before... sometimes people complain too much.
and the dumb cows I mentioned also said similar things. the sound and smell of me taking a dump bothered them... of course the fact that I was in a toilet stall didn't matter. I was bothering them so that's what was important.
Sometime people need to get over themselves.

I’m absolutely DISGUSTED by farts, burps, all of the above. It’s not like it’s impossible to hold it in for a couple of minutes.. people need to learn how to have some common curtesy. As a matter of fact, before I found this page I went into my grandparents spare bedroom that I’m sharing with my cousin and sister. I asked my sister to scoot over so I could go to bed and she refused.. we got into a full blown argument and later on this girl decided to fart directly on my blanket. You may think it’s not a big deal but trust me.. I started gagging and tearing up. Not only do farts smell absolutely awful but it’s also super unsanitary! I slapped her and then threw a shoe at her fucking head! I even put my blanket in the washer and moved to the couch. But she fully deserved it. She always treats me with so little respect.
I've always thought it was disgusting! I grew up in a family where the men and some women practically shitted them selves. I ALWAYS hold it in! Even when I'm by myself. I always keep my mouth closed when i burp and I always go to the bathroom or hold it in when it comes out the other end. I'm not up tight, and I'll laugh my ass off if someone does either one on accident, but that's more cause I'm laughing at there embarrassed reaction. And i have been known to accidentally let either one lose like any other person and either you apologize and be embarrassed, laugh or pretend it didn't happen and hope it wasn't noticed. But i find it annoying, disgusting and completely unnecessary, even disrespectful when someone just fuckin empty's a tank in front of others and they don't even try to hold it in. Yes, its a natural body function but it can be held in or helped. Masturbation, orgasms, coughing, sneezing, etc. are all natural to but that doesn't mean you're gonna masturbate yourself to orgasm in public, or cough and sneeze on people without covering your face, nose and or mouth. So I think its normal because even when I was little, by myself I held both in, and I'm still living and breathing aren't i? Holding either one in is not only showing you have class for a male or female but its also showing respect for everyone around you. Whether its your partner, family, friends, strangers etc. or if you're like me and you and find it disgusting then by yourself as well.
I've a friend who can empty the pub when he farts! I've recommended a colonic but others think something has died inside him.
it's a normal bodily function. i don't get disgusted when you blink or breathe.
Heh, at work, let's just say when you're 50 feet in the air on a little 2 people lift putting pipe in and your partner farts.. you stay there and suffocate.

Well a fart I could understand because of the smell. But I think some people are a bit too sensitive around a burp, unless it's right in your face so you feel it maybe.
