Is it normal to feel within a dream within a dream?

Craziest thing. I have been falling asleep and having dreams in my dreams. Usually during these dreams I end up having sex with someone and I can feel everything but only in the 2nd dream. Then i end up waking up twice. Today I took a nap and in my dream I decided I wanted to hook up with people and went to the 2nd dream state and started hooking up with the chics whom I always wanted to . Im just wondering really do other people have dreams within dreams ? im really feeling like theirs a serious subconcious enigma going on in which should be explored. there are crazier detail of the dreams that I have but I would like to hear other peoples accounts. thanks!

    I had a dream that was four dreams in one. When i woke up in every dream, I woke up in a weird place, and a box filled with pictures from the previous dream. i would show people the strange box, and put more pictures in it. then i "Woke" again and repeated the cycle. Each time, i wasnt aware i was dreaming, until i woke up.

    Oddly enough, I didnt know I was really awake untill the box disappeared.

    It might not be a dream within a dream, but an awareness of your mind transferring from different dream states. I could be that you are feeling your mind fall into a REM dream state.

    You never know. :)
