Is it normal to feel very tired after eating a little?
I just drank two cups of juice. I then feel tired, heavy, and breath tiredly. Am I food poisoned?

Thanks for the link. It has been hard going, but with constant research and of course the diet I am on now which is Weigh Less, I have started to feel a lot better and a lot less tired. Of course, nothing comes without a price as it is frikking expensive to eat healthily which is why I think most people end up in this situation. It seems "bad food" is way cheaper than healthy choices. So much for our governments promoting healthier individuals.
I know right!!! Not just that, but there seems to be crap in almost everything. For example,
hydrogenated vegetable oil and the lovely sucrose-fructose syrup.
They're exploiting our brains with all of this cheap, high sugar, high fat, refined carbohydrate food. People get hooked on the stuff because before we had supermarkets, fats and sugars were good for survival, which is why they're so tasty to us. Now they just cause health problems. It makes me so mad.
It's amazing to see how much simply changing what you eat can do. But as you've said, it costs lots of time and money to eat healthily.
I would agree with Jen. However, it is also possible that you are consuming too many carbohydrates with your meal. Carbs spike your blood sugar and then after about 1/2 an hour suddenly they drop and you feel tired. It's like a really fast energy burst that leaves you extremely tired afterwards. You have to watch the GI of the food you eat and mix up your food choices so that you are consuming enough low GI foods along with 1 high GI food. Low GI foods lower the GI of the higher GI foods, therefore balancing your meal so that you have a longer lasting energy effect and your blood sugar stays level. If you continue to ignore these symptoms and eat wrong (if you are) then you will end up with diabetes. I am currently glucose intolerant which is repairable with weight loss and a balanced diet.
