Is it normal to feel utterly alone?

Is it normal to feel like everybody in the world is at one enormous party with plenty of sex, fun & good times for all?
Everyone except you that is...you're left feeling lonely, unwanted, isolated and completely left out...
('Cause this feeling really sucks!!)

Count me on that loner fest you have there. I sometimes feel the same way.

Well.. Wanna know something?.. When that PARTY is over.... Alot of people go home all alone.

You should not feel like this, even though it's easy to get caught up in the shell..

I personally enjoy being alone very much, perhaps too much... Just me & My furballs/Cats.

But for Lucifers sake... Whats holding you back?.. If you want to see flashing lights every saturday then get off the damn chair lol?.. Do what you wanna do!

I'm sorry you feel this way - I've been there before and it was awful. Even being someone who appreciates a lot of alone time, I still hated absolute isolation.

Hang in there and try to stay open to others. It's possible to bring friends into your life, but it takes some effort and sometimes some patience. You can make it happen though. (:

How are your social skills? What do you think is holding you back the most?

Thanx for your kind words (and the hug)! I do appreciate it.

I don't know what the problem is, but I suspect the fault does lie with me. There are a lot of people I know through work etc.. that I do get on with, but none of them are friends - I just don't click with anybody I know. Since my best friend passed away a few years ago there's literally no-one that I'm close to in any way.

Like yourself I do like my alone time, but now and then (more and more often as I get older) it just mutates into a really crushing loneliness. This is made worse when people tell me about their latest sexual adventures or their exciting dating options & that sort of thing. I really feel like I've been left on the shelf.

I don't know - maybe I'll get over it (or get used to it) eventually & it won't ache so much.

      Thanx again.

Hey, at least you have people willing to talk to you about their lives. I don't even have that.
