Is it normal to feel unappreciated over stupid things?

So every day I bust my ass for my room mate and boyfriend. I do laundry wash their sheets clean the house and pretty much tend to their every need. But it seems like every time i ask them to do something for me they just can't. Today I asked him to bring me home a slice of pepperoni pizza, and I told him I'd wash his bedding. Well I get home from work and of course he brings home pizza but not the kind I eat. And they know I don't eat it. I guess i don't understand why they expect so much from me when they can't do anything for me.

    Oh my god, yes i know what your talking about. I seek appreciation all the time over even some of the simpliest of things and dont get a response. were working on the thank you issue now. it's in all how they were raised. And/or treated in their previous marriages/relationships. I strongly believe that. My fiancee hate this but sometimes i have to remind him that he is acting just like his ex acted towards him to me. So appreciation is all i ask for.... is it that hard saying thank you. Ugh! Best of luck.

    Until you stop doing everything you do for them they wont appreciate what you do actually do. They should be doing their own bloody washing anyway, I'd never expect anyone else to do my washing.

    I agree with people here saying they are lazy assholes. They really are. They wont understand until you stop doing it for them.
