Is it normal to feel this way about my medication?

Hello everyone, I've just been feeling weird lately because I have ADHD and I take medication for it, so I could concentrate better, it really helps me in school and talking to people, but it also makes me feel like Im cheating because there are so many people that had to struggle with this on their own, why I shouldn't I be one of them? It just makes me feel guilty, is this normal?

You're not cheating. You're being treated for a medical condition. Perhaps it's unfair that other people suffered in silence, but that's life. It's not always fair. It's not fair that the life expectancy in Swaziland is less than forty years. What's particularly unfair is that nobody seems to be doing anything about it.

In short, it's human that you feel some guilt. But there's nothing here to blame yourself for.
