when I was 14years old , I had this massive crush for an actor . I was head over heels for a while .my heart shiver if I hear his voice and t
my body tingling when I see him on the screen . years went by and I forgot it as I grow up . I got married until after 25 years I saw the old episodes that made me fall for him on youtube now all the feelings came back stronger and more persistant , well keeping in mind that he is in his 70s now . am I normal

    When I was a kid I watched earlier Jodie Foster movies like Carny, Taxi Driver and Foxes and had such a huge crush on her (even tho she was already post-Silence of the Lambs by the time I started watching her stuff).
    My heart skips a beat every time I see her to this day.

    You've been married for 25 years. Even the best marriages get a little humdrum after a while. Your husband may be a wonderful man and your relationship may be excellent, but he's the same guy you've been with for a quarter of a century, now. Even the most delicious meal starts to seem not so wonderful if you have it morning, noon and night, every day, year after year.

    It's also pretty normal to start thinking back to our youth when we get older. There's a reason why there's a huge market for nostalgia, and why middle-aged guys will pay vast sums for mint-condition toys they had when they were kids. It sounds like the movie star was, in some sense, your first love, and it's understandable that those giddy feelings might return when you suddenly see him again, just as he was then, after all these years.

    As a woman, your hormones are also changing as you get older. It's a cliché that women in their forties are far more interested in sex than when they were in their twenties. I'm not suggesting that you have explicitly sexual thoughts about the movie star (although you may), but any crush is tinged with at least a little horniness.

    I get the feeling that there's probably not a lot of magic in your life at the moment. Maybe your life is very much focused on your family? The movie star is a little bit of magic, so it's understandable that you find the fantasies involving him very appealing.

        I'm sure women also have mid-life crises, although not many of them go out and buy a Harley Davidson or a sports car.

        I think it's pretty normal to reach what we think could be the halfway point of our lives, sit back, and think about where we've been and where we're going.

        I suppose for women this often happens when their kids are finally flying free, or when they realize it's no longer possible for them to have kids.

        It can be tempting to get lost in nostalgia, but I think the important thing is to keep looking forward and finding new goals to work towards. Sometimes, that involves a complete rethink of what we really want and need.
