Is it normal to feel so sexually aroused that you wanna throw up

When I hit puberty as a teenager, I was taught that masturbation was from the Devil so I would try (unsuccessfully) to not do it. If I went more than one day without a wank, when I walked into the shower I would literally start wanting to throw up, because I would feel so horny and so hard and so wanting to masturbate that I felt nauseous.
