Is it normal to feel so sad and cry for kids dying in other country?

I have just hear the news of in America, Connecticut there is 26 people that have been killed, at least 18 are kids of kindergarten age...

A while ago I hear the news of so many more young kids who are killed in Sweden, Oslo at summer camp.

This time just like before I find myself unable to stop crying, it feel so sad I am sick in my stomach just to think about it. It seems to be so sad, for kids to be killed so young, but I do not know them and they are so far away..

Is it normal to feel this much sadness and crying?

Look, if there's nothing you can do, don't worry about it. Don't let these things get to you because your only harming yourself, and your not fixing the problem either. I mean sure, if you can actually do something about it then go ahead.

But yeah, if i were you, I'd try to avoid watching the news too much, try not to expose yourself to things that you can't handle. Keep in mind though, the sole purpose of the news is entertainment, and so of course they're gunna blow things out of proportion.

Not normal. If it were, it wouldn't be happening. People get extremely detached from things they dont have to see and touch and feel. Like how so many people eat beef and poultry and dairy from the store and the horrific animal suffering that goes into its production. And hey don't care because they don't have to see it. Out of sight, out of mind. It's a sad malody of the human race. It's ultimately gonna be our undoing.

It's normal. I had a few other friends confess to crying about that. Then again, I think they knew the families of the victims. If you're crying about this on a regular basis, I'd suggest you see a therapist because this may signify some sort of emotional problem.

If you knew the conditions of the third world i guess you would be sad all the time then. You should look up the "kenyan glue kids"
