Is it normal to feel shooting pain in lower left side of abdomen?

It happens maybe 1-2 times every week or so. I get a shooting pain occur in a specific part of my lower abdomen on the left side. It's always the same point and the nerve pain can sometimes run up my side or to my arm. It's not very painful, just curious to what it is.

It sounds like some kind of Sciatica nerve issue. I have that in my right arm and the pain goes all the way up to my shoulder. I went to This sports medicine place. And I saw an Orthopedist. He gave me shot in my hand, which hurt like hell. But the pain goes away for a least five months. According to the Doctor.

You should post this at a medical forum on webmd or something

The left side of your abdomen is pretty common for bowel pains if you have IBS. Bowel diseases such as colitis and crohns usually need medication and require surgery at some point, so it may be worth seeing your doctor.

  • If you go to the gym or you do any kind of workouts I would say that this kind of thing is normal. If not then maybe you should get it checked out.

      • Muscle strain is most likely a huge contributing factor then. **Blows huge yellow load**
