Is it normal to feel self concious when people give you compliments?

I also don't know how I should react on the spot. I usually say thanks as sincere as I can make my voice (or deny it if its about my looks). But it feeling like i'm not saying the wrong thing.
And if someone compliments on something like a shirt or something, I feel weird about wearing it again, and think about what they'll think about it.

  • people dont like it when they give compliments and someone else gets awkward about it, it makes the giver feel either angry or confused or upset that you didnt like what they said, its a natural human way to behave, just say thank you and smile, or if you want to make a new mate, give them a compliment x :)

A good way to react is to say thank you and not be shy. If they are wearing something you like or are attractive return the compliment in same, that way it is reciprocal.

    • I usually do that, but it still feels weird. Idk, it could just be that I have low self esteem

A sarcastic work colleague of mine always answers compliments with, "So you've finally noticed?"

    He's not very popular.
