Why are you thanking Jesus that some people have shittier lives than you?
This really depends. Maybe the person is lonely but maybe they're happily enjoying some peace and quiet. For all you know the "old person" might have an active social life with lots of friends and family, volunteer at their church or synagogue as well as hobbies to keep them busy. It's possible the person is thinking, "ah me time" while you're feeling sorry for them. I thank God that I'm single. There's a difference between loneliness and solitude.
*sigh* what is wrong with some of the people in this world? Sometimes I can't stay on here too long or else I get frustrated...
Some people don't mind being alone. I myslef prefer most of the time. There's no reason to feel sad for them. They are probably just as happy as ever. They're just loners.
Some people prefer to go out alone. Only because you don't enjoy your own company doesn't mean everyone else is the same.
I also get sad, although I don't cry or thank Jesus.
Then, go talk to them if you feel that way!! iunno.
