Is it normal to feel rage when i see blacks stepping on the flag?

When I watch the news or see posts online about the "BLM" and "Fuck Yo Flag" movements I instantly feel a deep hot rage inside of me. It makes me so mad I almost cry. I don't understand why their doing this and what they think it's accomplishing? In my opinion, I think all it really does is make the hate whites feel toward blacks worse. They aren't making things better, they're making things worse and causing more tension. Not to mention, it makes them look ignorant. To protest and use violence just reiterates what racist whites already think about them. And it might cause non racist whites to turn against them as well. They get mad because people stereotype them as being ignorant and violent, then they go out and wipe their feet on an American flag or beat up/shoot the police. What does the American flag have to do with any of this? Well that's not helping the cause! I am so angry! I'm sick of hearing about these things! I'm sick of hearing black people claim racism over every single little thing when in a lot of cases it's really not about race at all! And nobody ever talks about rasism towards whites. Why is it ok for them to talk trash about whites and say we all have white privilege? That's not true, isn't that a stereotype too? But it's ok for them to use stereotypes? Why? Why is one thing ok for one race but not another? I'm sure people are going to get mad reading this and have shitty things to say but I know i can't be the only person who feels this way.

Digging a little deeper. This person is saying American is a White country and he hates Blacks because some Blacks hate America and show it by desecrating the White American Flag.

White folk claimed the Confederate Flag as their own, a flag they did not have to share with other races. A flag that evoked pride in their heritage of hate err. separatism. Now that the Confederate Flag is under fire they need something to cower errr. gather under...so the American Flag is it....no room for nigra under a White mans flag.

    • Yep. And they can call it freedom of speech and get away with it but if someone calls them a ni**er they'll be arrested for inciting hate speech. Or get shot..either way it's BS

It won't last. How could it?

How many more white people can continue to feel guilty for stuff that happened generations ago?

          I have ZERO guilt.

You think black people expect you to have guilt?

I think they are more concerned about what happens to then now....like being arrested for small things or being killed.

For the most part I bet black folks only concern is what happens to them in their daily life NOW vs what happened generations ago.

But then I guess you would know

Yes, I think some black people do expect this. I think large majorities of them expect this. Just because you are black and DON'T, doesn't mean others share your feelings.

If they're worried about being arrested than they shouldn't commit crimes. If they're worried about being killed, stay out of high crime areas.

Oh I know, I know...but that's where they live blah blah blah blah.....

It's not about having to feel guilty, it's about acknowledging that your present lifestyle is based on the oppression and exploitation of others in the past. Just one example, how much wealth did slaves generate for white americans?

Your entire country, as was mine, was taken from its first peoples by way of genocide, rape and dispossession. Personally I reckon the Native Americans have more to be angry about than African Americans do: at least there's never been a concerted campaign to exterminate the latter group.

None of the people alive today experienced any of that OR were the perpetrators of what you talk about. Irrelevant post and completely useless to the topic.

So you can't see the difference between insulting a person and doing something to a piece of fabric? IT'S A PIECE OF FABRIC, that's all and a symbol of oppression, as is the flag of my own country

So in other words, if I burned the Austrailian flag and basically said that Australia is worthless and full of worthless people the world
would be better without, you would not care.

I realized that I am discussing a grown up topic with children. In real life I wouldn't even converse with you people. I need to step back and step away from IIN. While it was fun to vent and make confessions on topics, I really get nothing from having dialog with adolescents and immature young adults.

Carry on children...have fun trolling each other.

I think the majority of whites have this built in fear knowing that they did so much dirt in their past that its bound to come back on them. They are full of fear.

    People buy guns for protection.
People need protection from what they fear
No other people in American buy more guns that White people
Obama became POTUS fear went thru the roof and so did gun buying
Mexicans started migrating more into the US, fear went up and so did gun buying
Terrorist stay in the news fear went up and so did gun buying

Bottom line is white people are some of the scariest people on the planet and end up killing or trying to kill everything they fear

    BOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Hahahahahahahahaa

And you seriously think it's only white people that have committed atrocities in their past, or are capable of such fear and violence? You are sadly mistaken, especially when cor example, there are millions of Radical Muslims who are killing everyone who isn't one of them.

Africa is the most war torn continent on earth, from the middle Eastern nations fighting both each other and Isreal for control, to the roving bands of pirates and gangs that patrol in Somalia, Nigeria and the Congo, not to mention the various dictators that have came and went here and in many other places around the world!

Violence and fear is alive and well in every race and nationality around the world, and has been since the beginning of time, it is not unique to (European) whites.

      Here a few historical examples:

The Japanese were aggressive in their quest for more land in the early 20th century, starting with the Russo-Japanese war of 1912, and the later Sino-Japanese war. as well as invading the Philippines in the 1930s and 1940s when they managed to capture The nation, the Phillippinos were often rounded up and brutally tortured and executed, just like they had done to the Chinese people in the areas they captured before and during WW2.

In 1974, the city of Varosha, of the Nation of Cypress, was suddenly Invaded by the Turkish Military, who led a massacre campaign throughout the city, killing many men women, and children. The Turkish Government then took control of the area. Sanctions by the United Nations made it to where the city was declared "No Mans land" and made it to where The Turkish Government could not do anything with the area or else face NATO Military Action against them. The city is deserted to this day.

Do I even need to mention the Ancient Egyptians enslaving the Jews?

As you can see white people aren't the only who go out and kill others in fear, hatred, power, or any other reason.

Do I think that White people are the only ones who committed atrocities?

Nope I didn't say that nor did I imply that in my post. YOU created and went off on that tangent all by yourself.

Not interested in following you on that tangent. Stick to the subject.

Your post implied that you did "whites are some of the scariest people on the planet and buy guns and end up killing everything they fear"

Your statement implies that white people are the only ones to buy guns and kill people, and that's what I disputed.

        Not very smart imo.

i guess it's "normal" to feel pride for your country. however reading this post, my perception is that you are extremely racist and ill-informed. in my personal opinion, you are part of the problem. in all honesty, i'd like to slap you across the face.

    just my opinion though.

  • Omg what the hell is WHITE PRIVILEGE? Can someone explain wtf this even means or did y'all just hear that from some racist crybaby black dude who needs yet another excuse to be a huge freaking loser and so now everybody just repeats that word? It's a bunch of bullshit. By the way I'm female. But it's funny to me that you ASSUME I'm a white male with all this PRIVILEGE. what do your ASSUMPTIONS say about you?

  • First off, this is absolutely NOT a troll post. This IS actually something that has been bothering me a lot lately and i wanted other peoples input.
Secondly, I love how people think everyone should agree with them and that their opinion is the right one and anyone who disagrees are children or ignorant or even racist. ( imissmary ).
While I'm glad you decided to get in inn on the conversation, it shows how mature YOU really are when you get offended by those who have a different view than you. You and some others may think our flag is some symbol of oppression, but I don't see how that's true? What about all of families who have soldiers over seas for whom the American flag is a symbol of honor? For someone to blatantly disregard those who fight for the freedom of all Americans, regardless of race, is just wrong. And can you tell me what this act is accomplishing? Are they really helping the situation or making the hate and prejudice worse? Are they trying to change the way some whites see them and dispel the stereotypes? I don't see it. I see these acts as making it worse.

For you or anyone else contributing to this thread to brush it off as a troll post just because there are those, including myself who don't agree with your opinion, says a lot more about you than it does about me. At least I'm honest in my questioning. I don't know how others feel about what's going on. I have every right to ask this question.

It's funny to say whites are scared of everything so they buy guns, but blacks are the ones who go around shooting each other and the police every time something pops off. You damn right I'm afraid of black people, they have no problem spending the rest of their lives in prison because someone cuts them off in traffic or " disrespects " them in some way. Their not intelligent enough to have a civil conversation or even an argument, their first instinct is violence! So yea I'm scared and have reason to be.

Just as long as you admit being scared of Black people as the reason for buying guns.

      Thank you!

You just confirmed that what I wrote is true:

People need protection from what they fear

Obama became POTUS fear went thru the roof and so did gun buying
