Is it normal to feel odd sensations from weed for days?

I smoked weed for the first time a month ago and panicked. I smoked a bowl of chemdawg. (20% THC) I felt sensations like waves or a ripple sensation of my sense of touch. It went away after four hours but came back after another four. Then I went to sleep and it was gone in the morning. It wasnt laced because 4 others toked with me. I then experienced depersonalization and derealization. I started to feel better 5 days later, then I toked again and felt fine. Then a week later (two days ago) I smoked one bong hit of the same stuff. I panicked for like a minute, then my friend calmed me down and I had that same ripple looping sense of touch everywhere on my body. Since then, I get that rippling repeating sense of touch on and off and I have bad depersonalization/derealization. Will I be OK? Or do I have some freaky neurological disorder?

I wanted to put yes, but only because I have the same experience. I don't think it's normal though. I haven't smoked weed in months, and I feel dissociative every, freaking, day! Sometimes I feel like it will only get worse..and it's hard for me, because I am very fond of cannabis, and very educated on its benefits. And it saddens me, that perhaps, in the future, I'll have to quit for good. On top of that, possibly take some sort of pills, to make my dissociative go away.

My disassociation goes away within weeks. It does scare me when it happenens, but when I do feel that way, I remember it is the brains' natural response to high stress and anxiety. Just accept the feeling and it will go away. The real issue for my are the odd physical sensations that I have.

I remember during a bad high I felt waves wash over me...it was annoying and scary. Later found out my weed was laced with cooking spice .____.

  • Weed can cause a lot of weird effects. You are going to be ok. Trust me I am a self proclaimed gynecologist.

perfectly normal from the time I was 13 until I was 17 I smoked usually on a daily basis, then one night went out on a country cruise with some buddies And as soon my buzz kicked in it was complete terror,I felt like I couldn't breathe and I was going to die. made them take me home where I prayed to God not to let me die and cried myself to sleep. come to find out the smoke was laced still don't no what with but now I have full blown anxiety disorder so bad that if I so much as smell or look at weed I have a panic attack. it's normal but terrifying I can't even smoke weed that I know isn't laced.

As an update, I find it to be a mix of symptoms from dissociation and panic/anxiety.
