Is it normal to feel nervous everytime you have to go to work?

I just got a seasonal job at Gamestop and I've been working for about a month and a half. I think its a cool first job to have since it is something I've wanted for a while. However, every time I have to GO to the job I get really nervous. I feel afraid that I am going to like forget all my training and not know everything about products and just fail miserably. Is it normal to feel such anxiety about a simple job like Gamestop? If so I'd really appreciate some tips on how to conquer this. It is my first job and I just want to have a good time doing it.

The best thing you can do is be open minded. You are not going to know everything and no one expects you to. The key here is to know your coworkers and know what their strengths are. If something comes up and you don't have the answer, feel confident in asking for their help. Learn from them. Use that knowledge.

If i just go into work and show up, I go down. So now i take five minutes everytime before I walk in the door and think about how good it going to go and how I should have my personality be around others. Also that I need to be cautious of mistakes and it helps me be more at ease

Anxiety is entirely normal, unless it becomes so powerful that it affects your behaviour (i.e. giving up the job or phoning in sick when you're not really sick).

I think the way of approaching it would by reinforcing the positives. Every day you turn up for work you learn something new and become better at your job. So just the act of going to work is resolving your fears. I know it seems strange that the thing you are anxious about it also the thing which will help relieve the anxiety, but sometime life's like that!
