Is it normal to feel like your face is melting?

Ok, last night I smoked the STRONGEST weed I have ever had in my life. I have smoked four times (I'm a newbie). I just graduated from high school, so I guess the stuff my friends got was not very strong, all it made me do was feel like I was sinking into the chair, I got the giggles and it was hard to move my hands and body, and slowed down time . Last night, my sister, her boyfriend and I smoked this stuff from her friend and it was taking forever to hit us, we smoked a bud and a half. They started to get buzzed but I was still sober, so I kept smoking. Then all of a sudden I felt like I was hit with a 2x4, and I couldn't push myself off the bed (I was face down). I was screaming at the top of my lungs because I thought my face was melting. I begged them to call 911, but I also couldn't stop laughing and screaming. Eventually, I was sobbing and laughing and my face stopped "melting". I then got super giggly and hungry and chill like normal, but honestly, those first moments were terrifying. I have never felt like that before when I smoked. It was so bad, I am considering not smoking again. I never want to experience that again, but I love the chill I get and it was great after my face got back to normal. I guess the main question is, will this always happen, or did I smoke way too much?

This is exactly what I do when I smoke weed but ever since I've been to afraid to do it again tbh. Every time I smoke weed I can't stop laughing and when I do stop I start crying after the crying comes the "Melting face" and cotton mouth that legit won't go away. The last time I smoked weed was a year ago and I puked. I don't know if I'm allergic but whenever I smoke weed the only way I get rid of my side effects is sleep. But I feel really un normal when it happens. I thought I was going crazy.

Weed affects people differently, you may have just experienced your face muscles getting relaxed, and forgot what was happening. That would explain the extreme sense of panic. I've had a similar experience, where I felt extremely paranoid, but realized I was smoking with shitty people. It's normal to feel as though it's a bit much in the beginning, as weed has been known to increase your heart rate. But remember, you can't overdose on weed, you will come down eventually, you wont be high forever and there is such a thing as shitty weed. (Have you ever smoked medical? <3 ) and your tolerance will grow dont stress it. Try occupying your mind with cool articles, videos, music, games, quizzes, riddles, stories, crafts, drawings, or just eating lol.

Normal for someone with a low tolerance to weed. I've experienced melting sensations many times when i started smoking and then it decreases in intensity the more u build a tolerance so enjoy it while you can and rip on a 2 footer until u cant anymore knowing weeds never hurt anybody.

I rarely smoke weed (despite my picture) and that's never happened, nor do I think weed does that to people. It only is supposed to make you chill, you probably shouldn't smoke weed if it does that to you

Normal for someone on drugs. Marijuana is a mild hallucinogen, your response was extreme but not out of the realm of possibility. There is a chance the stuff was laced with a more powerful drug, you have to be careful with your sources and playmates. I kinda doubt it will happen again if it was your first time. You may also have some latent schizophrenia or similar predisposition that could be triggered by drug use. In that case you may want to stay away from all drugs (especially LSD, Exstacy, shrooms, sherm, meth) before you find yourself locked up in the looney bin hallucinating that your face is melting off for the rest of your life.
