I have come close to feeling this way before, but it was really just a phase. I used to feel really uncomfortable with the idea of associating myself with masculinity (at the time I would probably have used the phrase "traditional representations of masculinity"), but now I feel completely comfortable with it and completely different to how I felt before. Obviously I have a feminine side, but I don't feel that that side is a controlling part of me. It's just a small part of a greater, male whole; a part that sometimes shows itself and sometimes doesn't.
I feel really unhelpful saying that because it gives the impression that it's a phase for everyone who feels like you, but that certainly isn't true. There are a lot of people who feel the way you do, and transgenderism is completely normal as far as I'm concerned.
I have come close as well. And I agree with everything you said. I don't even know what it means to be masculine or feminine anymore since the only view of those two society has is pretty straightforward, and honestly not very good for people. Every has parts that make them "masculine" and "feminine" and I don't think you should remove one from yourself. Instead find a balance.
I don't think anything ever said you could be only masculine or only feminine. I think the point is if someone is more masculine or more feminine.
Sorry for being pedantic but sex is whether you are physically male or female and gender is whether you have a masculine or feminine personality, therefore you can be born the wrong sex yet not the wrong gender. *rolls away in correct english Nazi tank*
