Is it normal to feel like you are in a fog several days after ga?

I had my gallbladder and appendix removed a week and a half ago. I also had some scar tissue removed from my pelvic area due to previous surgeries. I was under GA for about 3 hours. Since coming home I am feeling really strange. It is hard to describe but here goes. I feel light headed, confused, a little nauseous, lack of appetite, trouble sleeping, depressed. I read some of your posts and actually felt a little relieved seeing that some of you have been through what I am going through. I basically feel like a blob. I really hope these strange feelings go away sooner than later since the holidays are coming and more importantly I have to go back to work soon. I would love to know if anyone has figured out a solution to this or it it's just something that has to run it's course? Are there any specific vitamens or herbs that I can take to relieve the symptoms?

It usually takes the full 2 weeks to recover to a point of normality again.
Although you need to be aware that a third of people who have their gallbladder removed still experience some abdominal pains and irritations.

By the way you should be on a prescribed good cholecystectomy diet. I take it that your doctor has given you all the info on this?

Make a doctors appointment and discuss this with a professional practitioner.
Note, I'm in no way medically qualified, nor have I had anything taken out of me.

      Thanks Dad,
My doctor never mentioned a special diet but I will ask at my next appointment. Tonight it will be exactly 2 weeks since surgery so I guess what I am experiencing is "normal".
      Thanks again!
