Is it normal to feel like this when my boyfriend leaves?

Ok so my boyfriend and I are inlove. Like really inlove. And he's gonna leave to Kentucky for a year this coming Saturday. I am really sad about that, because i really love him alot, and he's leaving and what if in this long year he might find some other girl that has alot more to offer than I ever will or who is alot prettier than me...ok but the point is, I feel like when he's gonna leave, I'm gonna feel like I'm nothing. Like my body is dead and there is someone floating above me telling me what to do.....Is it normal to feel like this when my boyfriend leaves? Please help.

Skype does wonders for long distance and it's free! If you'd like to continue with this I'd suggest setting up Skype dates. My bf was in Korea for a year and we survived but I know there's no one better than me.

I hope he cheats on you with 10 girls, gets an std and brings it back to you.

Ofcourse it's completely normal and quite a shitty situation to be in. Just try to do your own thing and not get obsessed with the relationship. If you are really meant to be with him everything will turn out fine but if not you would feel bad having wasted your time and energy worrying about it.

If you can not go with him or move someplace near where he is going then consider transitioning to being friends. Neither of you need to restrict yourselves if you are both under 25 years old. IF this man is not THE ONE then you will likely have and should have several more relationships before you are ready to settle down.

Date, date and date some more. Just don't get knocked up and you will have a fabulous life.

This is a chance for your relationship to really improve if you try hard! Long distant relationships are hard, but you learn a lot about yourself and your lover that you can't learn together
