Is it normal to feel like this is not "the land of the free"

How is it that we are supposed to be "free" yet the law only protects those who have money? My daughter was kidnapped by my family and because I don't have thousands of dollars to get an attorney to remedy the situation, I have to be terrorized until I can get her back which is looking like never. My grandmother is friends with a judge where she lives and she had her judge friend sign a juvenile release of my daughter to her to that she has a legal loop hole to protect her from kidnapping charges. WTF is that. And they are getting away with it. Then on top of that I get threated by the court to be put in jail for trying to ask what law they were using to release her to my grandmother because I knew it was illegal and wanted it on record. So now I am scared to death to do anything because I will get put in jail and then the rest of my children with be without their mom. I feel completely tortured and violated and feel like I am not free to do or say anything to get my daughter who I gave birth to and raised for 14 years back because I am afraid I will get put in jail on some made up charges in another state 1000 miles away from where I live. I hate this stupid life. We are not free and we don't have constituational rights, it's all bogus, it's some imaginary screen but when it comes down to it, I am terrorized legally in this country and there's not a thing I can do about it. At least other countries are sneaky about terrorizing you.

    I would go to the newspapers or tv. Embarress them on national tv. If there is no reason there will be consequences hopefully. In the law in your state, how old does a child have to be to say where they want to live?

    Okay if she was "Kidnapped" You tell the POLICE. The POLICE have to do something about you. Its not legal to kidnap someone and not give them back. If you mean they gave over custody there was a reason they took her out of your custody. Kidnapping legally depends on CUSTODY.

    for one i don't think your telling the WHOLE story, like why did they take your daughter and why is the court agreeing with that decision so strongly. Maybe the life you were giving your children wasn't a life deemed legally fit. (just guessing at that)

    Also, quit bitching about our country not being free. At least you have the freedom to pursue your children and you DO have that legal right. I don't care what excuse you have, if your a fit parent, then you can at least fight for custody. Go live in a 3rd world country and then bitch about yours. People who bitch about our government are like spoiled children who bitch that their parents aren't buying them "enough" stuff.

    in conclusion, quit bitching and do something about it. if you try hard enough you can get you child back.

    Probably best not to judge the whole country based on one effed up situation that seems like it has some bias to it. For the most part, we have it better than everywhere else

    Freedom is a buzzword to get stupid people to die for others, especially rich and mostly white folk. I have traveled the world. I have seen people with allotess stuff than Americans but with the exception on the middle east, the same or more (gay marriage, marajuna, prostitution) freedom. Of course the stupid will think the U.S. protects us from these.

    But the child is like 14een, won't she do something about it? Call you maybe from school? From a friends phone? I dunno dude, but thing I know for sure.

    The way your state gives you freedom is similar to the way it gives it to Afghanistan and the rest of the waring countries(ie by bombing them)

    I have not done the paper yet but have the others, the police seem to act like they can't do anything about it. My child was taken across the country so she is 1000 miles away from me so child services can't do anything about it. It's a disaster.

    As you say,it's only "free" when you do as your told, don't rock the boat, or have enough money not to care.

    Really feel your anguish mate, but you need to try and find a way to get some help.

    Maybe a local newspaper would take up your plight, or look for lawyers who offer Pro Bono work to deserving cases, and contact your local child services and, maybe, even your local police too.
