  • That's only a 3-year age difference. Tell him how you feel.

Although being 17 and him being 14 does sound a little bit weird. but then if i think of a guy aged 20 and the girl aged 23 im like, oh, thats exactly the same! so yeah, i guess, tell him!

  • Again, reverse the genders, and the age difference makes the guy a pedophile...

If you get together that would mean in a year you will be 18 and he will be 15 . He will be a child in the eyes of society and the law and you well be a adult . Legally and morally it would make you a pervert and you could leave your self open to a sex crime charge and spending the rest of your life as a registered sex of offender . After your both adults 3 yrs isn't a big thing before 18 it is , that's why there are laws about it . Lots of places have wiggle room to make exceptions for kids that are older than their years and parents can give consent for marriage or a judge can if very young ( at least in the USA ) . If he's mature , go for it but be aware of what you are risking if someone brings the law down on you.

You are one year away from being a legal adult. He has only been an official teenager for a year. Just sayin.

Well, that isn't so bad. It's only by three year and you're both teenagers still. I'm making the assumption that he is a freshmen and you are a senior in high school. I'm going to say, as long as you don't mind the immaturity of the early high school mind, it's okay.

  • It's understandable, and happens to most people... but probably not a good idea at this stage. It's frowned upon because he hasn't hit the big acceptable *16* yet. You can tell him sure, but in the eyes of most people it would be best if you left any sexual/romantic relations till a little later.

It's ok, but society tends to say its wrong. I think 4 years is the biggest acceptable age gap.
