Is it normal to feel like no one will ever love me for who i am?

For starters, I'm a senior in high school.
I'm very shy and just moved to a new school. I have a few classes with my friends or people I know, and in the ones I don't, I know who the people are. I just don't typically start conversations with them. I've been talking to this guy that doesn't even want to finish to high school, and I've been trying to talk him into keeping an open mind, but he's sure he wants to drop out. It's honestly bringing me down. And this girl that my mom was sure I would be friends with because that girl's mom is nice, has been completely ignoring me and I just have the feeling she doesn't like my presence..I just really need advice and want to know...
Is it normal to feel out of place and different at a new school?

Your still figuring out who you are.

  • You're still in school. You meet a lot of people everyday. Probably even more if you go to college and all. I think you're bound to find someone who will love you.

Unlike me, I work in construction, which is 99.999999% populated by men.(I've only seen one woman electrician in a year of working) Anyways, I've gotten used to the idea that I'll probably be alone until I die. It doesn't seem THAT bad.. or maybe it is. Oh well.

May i suggest a secretly sensitive biker? You're a badass btw; in the immortal words of Ween...let me lick your puuuuuusssay.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, I'm trying to rudely express my deep admiration for you.

It is completely normal to feel out of place. Changing schools is always hard, especially if its in the middle of high school. You have to start over again and it's even more difficult when you're shy and don't know how to talk to people that well.
If it wasn't for the fact that my family moved a lot, I would be more shy then I am now. Eventually you learn how to open yourself up and not let mean and rude people get you down.
I'm really glad that you think school is important and is trying to convince others. I hope you stay and get a wonderful education and perhaps go to college as well.
You will make friends, just be true to yourself. Sorry for my long response. I try to keep these short, but it never works.

I think it's important to replace anything negative in your life with something positive. Let this guy go down alone. Screw the girl who ignores you. Find people who actually will like you for you and will be positive influences in your life.

I love such people. I always do them a favor or two. The smile on their face comes from deeply inside and it makes those people so pure. It's normal to feel that way, but I don't think about it too much. Everybody on the world, and you for sure, will find a person that truly likes him. You may not notice, because most people don't show it, but sympathy is there ane that should make yourself more confident.

Yes it's very normal to feel that way, everyone is cautious around new people and/or places because it's out of their comfort zones, the same is with you.

If a person doesn't accept you as you are they are clearly not worthy of you. You're a sensitive and kind person and people should feel awesome having a friend like you. But you must try to take iniative in making friends and starting conversations, if they aren't nice to you try someone else.

    Hope this helps.

I think you're insecure, which is normal. But you shouldn't worry. Just be yourself and people will like you. If someone doesn't like you, it's their loss. Good luck to you :)

I think everyone has problems with people loving them for who they are to some extent. To some point only you know yourself, but one day you will meet someone that knows you better than you.
