Is it normal to feel like i might throw up after working out?

Yeah i know, strange question, gross too. But is it normal? i'm not too sure it is. Like i when i work out harder than i normally would, i come home and i feel like I'm gunna throw up, and i have to. (not intentionally) I'm not bulimic!

I feel like that if I eat within an hour before I go to the gym. I recommend having only a light snack in the 2 hours before you go to the gym. Your body does need the energy, but anything that's currently in the stomach will be seen as lesser importance to your body. It's like this. If you're exercising, for all your body knows, you're in danger and need to GTFO! So the exercise takes importance over you digesting what's in your stomach. The reaction results in the urge to puke it up. My boyfriends going to be a personal trainer. He explained that one to me.

Lactic acid build up causes that feeling.

I think your body is just under a lot of stress that its not use to so you are getting sick. Too much too quick isnt a good thing. Also it might be that you are drinking too much water. It says you should drink water to stay hydrated but dont drink too much BEFORE work out unless you are positive you are going to burn it all off. Since if not your just making yourself very sick.

its called being out of shape yet really pushing yourself....good job...most people dont work thst hard....your bodys ability to utilize oxygen is still in the dumps...this causes widespread oxygen debt and lactic acid build- up...in the muscles it feels not too bad but in the lungs and other areas it makes you feel nauseous....its your body trying to stop you from moving around until the oxygen debt is back to normal...just keep pushing and you will get in shape...which is greater utilization of oxygen

idk if it's supposed to be normal As an active marine with a hobby of bodybuilding on the side, even with the stress while in Iraq, I never had the nausea from workouts unless I wasn't properly hydrated As a civilian, I've been in and out of shape multiple times and so, when I'm in my workout push harder modes, I'm completely dedicated No junk food, sodas, energy drinks...I go ultimately, all natural NEVER any adverse or even slight discomfort after workouts after the initial muscle soreness at the beginning of my health streak

This means that you either aren't eating right, or you aren't exercising enough (or both).

It's normal to get sick if you really push yourself when you're out of shape, but after a few weeks it will get easier. Also, don't eat really heavy, greasy, salty, or acidic meals on workout days. A salad or light sandwich is perfect for me.

Sounds to me like you're dehydrating. Gatorade will keep your electrolytes in balance.

I used to get like that too. If I didn't feel like vomiting, I often felt like having a bowel movement. I feel so sick that I would have to stop working out. These were one of the reasons why I had to stop going to the gym altogether.
