Is it normal to feel like i'm watching myself?

Sometimes I feel like I watching myself move. Like if I'm grabbing my cup off the table it's as if I'm watching my hand grab it without my mind giving my body permission, even though I wanted to grab it. Or if I'm looking in the mirror it's like I'm the person in the Mirror not the other way around (like that is literally ME in the mirror, not just a reflection) mostly when this happens I don't feel all the way "there" I can feel myself when I'm about to be sucked into anther trance like this but it's hard to escape and once I'm in it I have to wait for it to pass. Does this happen to anyone else?

I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes, I even ponder about whether or not the reality we live in is real or not. Watching the Matrix intensified both sets of feelings for me.

OH MY GOD. my whole life this has terrified me so bad. It happens when I'm looking in the mirror a lot and I start thinking of myself as if I am literally not me. I was so hoping to find someone else who gets this. I'm familiar with derealization & depersonalization ; however, I've never heard of anyone else getting this...

This happens with me sometimes. It's depersonalazation I think (probably spelled that wrong) Most likely a side effect of depression, much better to see a psychologist about it and get their opinion

Do you get out much? I mean do you socialize much with others?
