I was just wondering if it's normal to feel like I'm never going to find "the one". I'm 25 and I've been single for the last 3 years. All the men I meet are not up to my standards. Since I have an 8 year old child I'm looking for certain qualities in a person. I'm also not into online dating and there's not much of a selection in my area. I want to get married and have more children but I can't find the right person.

    Hello are you people listening??? It's not that men don't want to be with me...it's that I can't find one with good qualities. I've been an several dates and men are able to see beyond the fact that I have a child considering that either they also have children or want children in the future.

    Yeah well you probaly wont with a kid. Put the kid up for adoption and you might stand half a chance. Try looking in an old folks home most of them are widows so there probally despret enough.

    Just keep looking. Putting the needs of your child above your own wants is a sign of good parenting, there's a lot of problems that can occur from step-parenting and finding someone you not only love, but can trust with your child, can be a big commitment.

    I waited until I was 38 years old to find the love of my life and get married for the first and only time! I had been engaged twice before I met my husband and dated a number of guys. I was convinced I would never get married. I was wrong! A friend of mine convinced me to try "Plentyoffish.com" and that is where we met. I had never tried online dating before, and I guess I got lucky. I am very happy and thankful that I didn't give up trying.

    I have been single way longer then you have. Im a guy also you had sex. I will never get married no one is lonely then me dont say that you not feel like getting marry. People who never get married are with no girlfriend or boyfriend or never dated.

    I can't believe some of these posts! Idiots!
    Your only young still, u will find someone with the qualities u r after not only for yourself but for your child also. U should be commended for not picking the first guy u date just because u can. U r considering what u need in a mate for your child also. Good on you, be proud of yourself!! And good luck :)

    Sorry to say you had a baby when you were 17. That's why you get married first before having a kid.

    Anyway, i'm 23 and I never plan on getting married. There are just too many strings attached.
